AARP
The AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with a membership that helps people who are 50 or older have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial and affordable to them and society as a whole.

Addiction among older adults often goes undiagnosed and untreated. Addiction Center offers free online resources and multiple treatment centers nationwide to ensure that people get the help they need to overcome alcohol, drug, and behavioral addictions.
​
Many older adults in the U.S. take prescription medications to reduce anxiety and/or body pain. They may also drink alcohol more frequently to aid in sleep and cope with mental health conditions. However, due to these factors, elderly people have a higher risk of developing substance use disorders (SUD). The Addiction Group offers specialized resources for substance abuse and addiction for older Americans.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care and support, and the largest private nonprofit funder of Alzheimer research.

AMERICAN GERIATRICS SOCIETY
The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is a not-for-profit organization of close to 6,000 health professionals devoted to improving the health, independence and quality of life of all older people.
